Caroline Chen

My name is Caroline Chen. I’m a third year student specializing in international relations, majoring in criminology and minoring in history. I still remember my Orientation Week and all the amazing people I met that I'm still friends with today! I was so stressed about fitting in and making new friends going into Orientation, but I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about. In my spare time, or just instead of studying, I like to watch and talk about baseball, go to Model UN and Mooting Conferences and send cool videos of freestyle snowboarders and skiers to my friends! I’m super excited to meet all of you this fall!

Victoria Barclay

My name is Victoria Barclay. I'm a third year student pursuing a major in Sociology with a double minor in Political Science and Equity Studies whilst also aiming for a French Language Citation. My favourite Woodsworth memory was both Orientation as an incoming student and as a leader. In my first year, I didn't know anyone in Woodsworth but thanks to Orientation I met so many amazing people and got to be leaders with them last year. Outside of Orientation, I'm also the Co-President of the Woodsworth Racialized (Inclusive) Students Collective (WRiSC) and I'm also working with some amazing people to plan the Canadian Conference on Student Leadership hosted by U of T this November. I can’t wait to meet all you!

Faye Shamshuddin

My name is Faye Shamshuddin and I’m a third year student currently enrolled in Philosophy and Ethics, Society, & Law. My favourite Orientation memory would be making a bunch of friends at Block Party. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and I met so many people that have become familiar faces around campus. I have a passion for social activism, and take part in various initiatives around UofT, including the Woodsworth Racialized (Inclusive) Students Collective (WRiSC) and Love146, an anti-human trafficking club. I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Vidya Rambali

My name is Vidya Rambali and I’m a fourth year student double majoring in English and Art History. One of my favourite memories from my Orientation was meeting so many new people from so many different backgrounds-  leaders and first years alike. Many of these people are still my friends, and my very best friends even now are people that I met during Orientation Week. A couple of interests and fun facts about me are that I’m a huge hockey fan, I drink tea like it's water, I love to draw and paint, and I also knit (yes, I said knit). I'm super excited to meet and get to know all of you, and I hope you are too because orientation is an awesome experience!

Shawn Medeiros

My name is Shawn Medeiros and I’m a fourth year student double majoring in Sociology and Criminology & Sociolegal Studies. My favourite Orientation memory was Cheer Off and the Tri-campus Parade when I was in first year. Stopping traffic (and also creating a lot of traffic) in the heart of downtown Toronto while shouting Woodsworth cheers to the point I lost my voice with a new, soon-to-be great friend, was the most memorable part of Orientation for me. My passions include playing the beautiful game of soccer, watching Toronto sports teams, and criminal law. I’m currently the Outreach Coordinator for UofT’s Portuguese Association, a Woodsworth E-Mentor, serving on UofT’s Academic Board and the Academic Policy and Programs Committee. Can’t wait to meet everyone!

Noah Pinno

My name is Noah Pinno and I’m a third year student double majoring in Political Science and Linguistics. My favourite Woodsworth memory has to be making friends with the leaders and OEC during my first year and getting to know some of the great upper years in Woodsworth College. I’m also an active member of the Hart House Debating Club and the VP Internal for Woodsworth Inclusive (WiNC). I’m so excited to meet everyone!

Andrew Gallant

My name is Andrew Gallant and I'm in my second year studying Criminology and Political Science. I remember during my Orientation Week my absolute favourite memory was making new friends and going to the Annual Woodsworth Block Party. Between eating way too much cotton candy, kart racing and the inflatable jousting tournament I had an amazing time and I'm sure you will too! A little known fun fact about me is that I am a first degree black belt in Karate and I actually teach it in my spare time. I look forward to seeing all of you during Orientation Week and welcome to the Wolfpack!

Pooja Murali

My name is Pooja Murali and I’m a fourth year student majoring in Political Science and double minoring in Equity Studies and Book & Media Studies. My favourite memory of Orientation was falling off of wheely chairs in residence with then acquaintances, whom I now call my best friends. Apart from my involvement in Woodsworth, I sing, write truly cringeworthy poetry and can read 3 full length novels in 15 hours. I’m so excited to meet you all and hope you have as amazing Orientation experience just as I did!

Janice Asiimwe

My name is Janice Asiimwe and I am your Student Life Coordinator at Woodsworth College. My role is to support you as you transition to University life and help you discover opportunities and get involved on campus, whether that is through campus clubs, leadership development, volunteering, equity initiatives, community involvement, and more. I work within the Office of the Dean of Students with a team of amazing student staff and volunteers (including your E-Mentors!) I look forward to meeting you all during Orientation, and  if you have any questions throughout the week, feel free to e-mail me at
